Static to Production
This book takes you from an empty AWS account to a secured, automated website deployment, built from the author's own working project. You provision a private S3 bucket and a CloudFront distribution with Terraform, then deploy with GitHub Actions using OIDC, so no AWS access keys are stored anywhere. Each chapter introduces the on-prem concept first, then the AWS service that implements it, then a build you can reproduce on a free-tier account. Where the original code uses a pattern the author would now change, an Author's Note shows the better approach. You also learn to diagram before you build, document what you did, and use AI tools to explain errors without trusting their output blindly. It is written for people entering cloud and DevOps work who want to build something real and understand why it works. No application coding or prior cloud experience is needed. It is not exam prep, and it does not survey every AWS service. It teaches one complete system in depth.
